Garageflex Design and Installation Process

Step 2: Virtual Design Consultation

Once you are happy with costs and how it works we can arrange a Virtual Design Consultation with one of our Designers in the comfort of your own home. This will help us to listen to the issues you have with your garage, advise you, prepare drawings and an estimate.

This can be a very useful first step which will give you a lot of useful information.

What you can expect from this:

  • A conversation on an App such as Facetime, WhatsApp or Zoom during which we will “walk” round your garage together and discuss the issues you have
  • The Designer will use this conversation plus any photos and dimensions you have sent us to draw and price a design
  • The design and quote will be sent to you and can form the basis for a further conversation to fine tune the proposal
  • It may require a visit to your home to check on final detail before a proposal can be taken to the stage of instruction

If you would like to know more detail about our Virtual Design Presentations, click here to visit our blog post on this subject.

Ready to schedule a Virtual Design Presentation? We first of all need to have a quick Telephone Consultation to discuss your requirements, so please fill out the form above and we will schedule a convenient time.

Step 3: Garageflex Design and Quote

After our Virtual Design Presentation, we will start drawing your garage design and come back to you with a plan and costs. This will be emailed to you as a discussion paper which can then be amended if required.

Step 4: Plans Agreed

If there are no complications with the installation, we can proceed to the next stage. However, if necessary, one of our team will visit your garage to check everything before the installation goes ahead.

Once the plans are agreed and signed off we will ask you to sign a Customer Acceptance Form and send a 40% deposit. Once this is received we will discuss mutually convenient dates with you and get it booked for you.

Step 5: Installation Commences

How does the installation process work?

Prior to our professional fitting team arriving, we will be in contact to confirm timings, floor colours (if not already decided) and answer any questions you might have. Depending on the size of a garage and how much is being installed, we usually recommend 3-4 days for the installation to be complete. Below you will find a rough guide as to how the work proceeds but this obviously can take more or less time.

Day 1:

When our fitters arrive on the first day for a full makeover they will come and introduce themselves. They will then get to work putting up timber battens onto the walls which the FlexiPanel will ultimately sit on. Depending on how large the space is, FlexiPanel will then start to be added to the walls. We ask that the garage is empty of your belongings and that power is available.

Day 2:

The walls will usually be finished today depending on the size as a triple garage will obviously take more time. Once the walls are finished and if you are having a Tiled Floor, then installation of this can begin or a ceiling may be installed. If you have opted for a Resin Floor, these are normally completed prior to the main team of fitters arriving and will be confirmed to you.

Days 3 and 4:

It is now about completing all areas with trims to tidy things up and installing any storage accessories you have requested such as Cabinets, Bike Racks and Hooks. Before our team go they will always sweep up and clean everything down to ensure you have the perfect garage, ready to start putting your items in.

The office is always on hand to answer any questions you might have and we will always be in touch after the fitting to check that you are happy with the work completed.
