Once your garage transformation is complete, it will eventually need a bit of a spruce-up to keep it looking its best. Maintaining that pristine, organised space requires little upkeep but it’s always handy to know exactly how to do it. With this in mind, we’ve put together some helpful cleaning tips for your walls, ceiling, floor and other elements so you can get your garage back to looking beautiful again. Whether it’s a seasonal clean or a quick tidy-up, these tips will help you maintain the showroom quality of your garage all year round.
Garage Walls
To keep your walls clean, a feather duster works wonders. For any marks on the FlexiPanel, FlexiSmooth or FlexiTrack, you can use a neutral cleaner spray and a soft cloth to bring back it’s sparkle.
Garage Ceiling
The same tip applies to cleaning the garage ceiling. Static or cobwebs may gather on the ceiling, but this can be easily removed with a feather duster or a dry cloth.
Floor Tiles
Our range of Floor Tiles are very easy to maintain, but following this process will brighten them up significantly:
- Sweep or vacuum up dust and dirt, removing any larger pieces of debris.
- Apply a suitable floor cleaner to the floor in the correct dilution and leave for several minutes to break down the dirt.
- Scrub the floor with a deck scrubber, microfibre mop, or suitable cleaning pad.
- Rinse the floor with clean water, removing the dirty water with a mop and allow to dry.
We would always recommend that any oil or fuel spillages should be cleaned off the floor as soon as possible to prevent damage. If however one of your tiles needs replacing it’s easy to purchase another from our e-store and insert into your floor.
Resin Floors
Bring back the gleam to your Resin Floor with these easy tips for cleaning a Resin Floor:
- Sweep the floor to remove particles, leaves, and general dirt.
- Wash the floor using a light detergent.
- Oil leaks or spillages can be removed with a damp cloth but would always recommend doing this as soon as you can to prevent damage.
Metal Storage Cabinets
Wooden Worktops
If installed by us, your worktop would have had at least one coat of Danish Oil applied. You can wash it down as and when you like, perhaps applying more oil if you use it on a daily basis to keep the worktop in tip-top condition.
Shelves, Racks, Baskets and Hooks
Racks such as bike racks, golf racks, shelves, and hooks only need a feather duster to keep them sparkling clean.
